WebAug 12, 1996 · We demonstrate that high-order harmonics generated by an atom in intense laser field form trains of ultrashort pulses corresponding to different trajectories of electrons that tunnel out of the atom and recombine. Propagation in an atomic jet allows us to select one of these trajectories, leading to a train of pulses of extremely short duration. WebFor 6-pulse converter, n 6 p ± 1 (5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, etc) order harmonics are generated. To minimize the effects on the supply network, recommendations are laid down by IEEE 519 as to the acceptable harmonic limits. For higher drive powers, therefore, either harmonic filtering or use of a higher converter pulse number is necessary.

Efficient generation of high-order harmonics in gases
WebMar 31, 2024 · The transition metal dichalcogenides have instigated a lot of interest as harmonic generators due to their exceptional nonlinear optical properties. Here, the molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) molecular structures with dopants being in a plasma state are used to demonstrate the generation of intense high-order harmonics. The MoS2 … WebAug 26, 2002 · We demonstrated the energy scaling of high-order harmonics using a self-guided beam under the phase-matched condition. By adjusting the argon gas density and pump laser focusing condition, a total output harmonic energy as high as 0.7 μ J was obtained in the spectral region of 34.8 to 25.8 nm (the corresponding order of the 23rd to … WebWe calculate time-frequency representations (TFRs) of high-order short pulse harmonics generated in the interaction between neon atoms and an intense laser field, including macroscopic effects of propagation and phase matching in the non-linear medium. how many people eat meat
